How to add things to your pledge

Want to add an extra item to your reward? You can add any number of additional items to your reward by managing your pledge.

How to add items to your reward:

  1. If you’ve already pledged to this project, click the “Manage My Pledge” button at the top of the page. If not, click “Back this project” and pick one of the rewards. Every backer can pick one and only one reward level.

  2. Find the item(s) you want to add. Increase your reward by the corresponding dollar amount.

  3. That’s it, you’re done for now. No need to do anything else until our funding period ends on August 27th.

In the weeks following August 27th we will send every backer a survey. In that survey you will tell us which specific items you want to add on to your reward. You will also have the chance to add additional Koala-Gear products to your reward. You will give us your shipping details at that time.

Will I be able to add things to my pledge after the campaign has ended?

Yes! At the end of the campaign you’ll receive your survey from backerkit. If you want to add anything to your pledge, you’ll have an ad-on menu right there. Please note that some of the special prices may not be available for the add-ons, so if you know you want something, you should get it now.

Is the clip good for business cards, notes, or passport photos?

Yes! DJIN’s clip is versatile, so you can use it to stash your notes, receipts, business cards, passport photos… Basically anything up to credit card size.

Will the coins jump around and make noise?

DJIN’s slide-pocket is padded on it’s back side by the inner lining and the flexible-yet-strong polypropylene-injected skeleton. This keeps coin clatter down to a minimum. If you hold DJIN and shake it, you may hear the coins faintly jingling against each other, but when DJIN is in your pocket, it’s virtually silent.

Will there be other colors?

We picked two universal materials that cover a broad range of tastes for this Kickstarter campaign, as we want to do everything in our power to keep it simple, and produce and ship on time. After this Kickstarter, when all your pledges have been fulfilled to your satisfaction, we will consider additional versions of DJIN.

Why not make the whole wallet RFID-blocking?

Well, we wanted you to be able to use your public transportation pass, student card, or office-entry card without having to open your wallet. That’s where the RFID-blocking card comes in.

The Koala-Gear RFID-blocking card blocks everything behind it, and the first card in front of it. So, you can configure your clip in such a way that the card you want to use electronically is first in the stack. Remember to place one card behind it and the Koala-gear RFID-blocking card.

OK, so how is DJIN protected from RFID theft from behind?

The Koala-Gear RFID-blocking card protects you from the front, while the brushed stainless steel clip blocks RFID from behind

Is shipping free? Will I have to pay taxes?

Shipping is free worldwide for all products in this campaign. However, customs may vary from country to country. We have warehouses in the US, the EU, Israel, and Hong Kong, so if you live in one of those locations you will likely not have to pay customs. In any case, we recommend checking your country’s tax and custom laws to see what payments you’d be subjected to. Here is a handy tool for calculating duty and taxes*: http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/ *We cannot guarantee accuracy of duty calculations as this is an outside application.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
